Forum for Uzbek and Silk Road Studies Public Lecture: Professor Rick Fawn, University of St Andrews

Professor Rick Fawn is a specialist in international security with a focus on the former communist space. He has published 15 books, most recently with Georgetown University Press, and conducted research across Central Europe, the Balkans, Russia, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. He has held major research grants, including from the British Academy and the EU, and was a lead coordinator of the £4.7 million ESRC/AHRC Centre of Excellence, Centre for Russian and Central and East European Studies (CRCEES). He was previously Director of the Institute for the Middle East, Caucasus and Central Asia Studies at the University of St Andrews.
